Two things just landed in the Social Club:
Social Club is private to VIBA Academy members only — it's never public, never indexed, and never visible outside your logged-in portal. Posting, commenting, and reacting are all active-membership perks. If your membership has lapsed, you can still browse the whole feed — watch, see what your training partners are up to, and come back into the conversation the moment you renew.
Tap the envelope icon in the top bar any time to send a private message straight to VIBA Academy — type it or record a quick voice note, whichever's easier. Questions, renewal help, anything else. This one works no matter your membership status (Active, Frozen, or Lapsed) — reaching the club is never something we gate behind an active membership.
You can also attach a single photo or PDF to a message using the 📎 button — handy for sending a payment screenshot or a document straight through, instead of hunting for another way to get it to us. One attachment per message, up to 20MB.
Keep voice notes short — under a minute works best. Longer recordings still send, just with a slightly plainer look on our end once in a while.
Your thread is private between you and VIBA Academy staff — no other member ever sees it. You can remove something you sent from your own view if you want to, but like any support conversation, we keep a record on our side — it just won't show up in your own chat anymore.
Tap "Heading to tonight's class" at the top of the feed when you're on your way, and it does three things at once: it lets your training partners and the academy know you're coming, it shows you (and everyone else) who else is already headed in today, and it drops a quick "on my way" moment into Stories for 24 hours — the same way Stories already work anywhere else in the club.
This is a heads-up, not attendance — it's separate from checking in when you actually arrive at the academy, which still happens on your Members Portal dashboard exactly as before. The button only shows up on a day your class is actually scheduled, and it's an active-membership perk like posting and commenting.
Posts are for watching in the Social Club, not saving to your device — the same as you wouldn't expect to download someone else's Instagram video. This protects training partners who appear in a clip but didn't post it themselves. If you want a copy of a moment you're in — your own roll, your stripe ceremony — just ask an admin; we're happy to send it directly.
This isn't just a training log — it's the VIBA community's own space. Training clips and rolls are welcome, sure, but so is anything else you want the tribe to see: a celebration, a personal win, life off the mat. Post a video (up to 10 minutes) or a single photo, a Photo Carousel of 2–5 photos together, or a styled text post — whatever fits what you want to say. Tag it so others can find it later:
Every post is reviewed by an admin before it appears in the feed — nothing publishes automatically. This isn't about censorship; it's so the feed stays a space you're comfortable being in, the same reason an academy has a code of conduct on the wall.
Real name, real respect — same as on the mat. Give feedback the way you'd want it given to you. Reactions (👍 ❤️ 💪 🔥 😂) are a quick way to show support without needing to type anything.
No footage of someone who hasn't consented to being posted, no disrespectful comments toward training partners or instructors, nothing that has no place in a community built on respect. Posts that don't fit get rejected, not called out publicly — you'll always know why if you ask.
The Journal tab, next to Feed, holds calm, short articles written for members. It is private to Active members: never public, never indexed. Use Suggest a topic to tell VIBA Academy what you would like to read. Suggestions go to VIBA Academy, never to the feed.
Some pieces are written by members VIBA Academy invites as VIBA Editors. VIBA Academy reads every piece before it is published, and a writer's name is never shown: everything is signed "VIBA Editor" or "VIBA Academy".
Posts marked "VIBA Academy" come directly from the Admin team — announcements, featured technique breakdowns, or academy news — and go live immediately without the review queue, since they're already coming from the people who run the review queue.
